Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially so they can be a responsible and productive member of the community.
About Mrs. Wong
I am excited to announce that this is my second year teaching at Casey but my seventh year teaching in Austin ISD. I was born and raised in Houston, TX. In 2007, I moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences focusing on Early Childhood Development, Chinese, and Business. I graduated in 2012 and worked for a non-profit organization (AmeriCorps ACE) as a reading tutor helping young students grade K-2. During that year, I found my passion for teaching and how important it is for children to have the skills to read. So, in 2013 I successfully obtained my teaching license. Outside of the teaching world I enjoy hiking with my two Siberian Huskies, Olympic weightlifting, and traveling with my husband!
